An underground storage tank (UST) is defined in applicable Federal and State Code as "....any tank and its associated piping that is located substantially underground which is used for the storage of hazardous substances." Oversight of the UST Program is intended to protect the waters of the State from discharges of hazardous substances from underground storage tanks.
Underground Storage Tank systems are required to be reported in CERS and updated annually as part of a facility HMBP. Multiple forms are required. See below for templates and refer to the CERS page for information on how to report your UST.
