May 4th, from 12 P.M.-4:00 P.M. the Nevada County Office of Emergency Services, Fire Safe Council of Nevada County and Gold Country Kiwanis are once again partnering to produce the Children’s Health and Wildfire Safety Carnival. All families are welcome to attend this FREE event.The carnival will highlight the incredible first responders, fire fighters, law enforcement personnel, search and rescue volunteers, emergency medical service workers, and wildfire prevention efforts of the Nevada County community.
Children and families alike will enjoy interactive safety simulations, crafts, and engaging activities. Past crowd favorites have included helicopter landings, burn demonstrations, police vehicles and a bicycle rodeo. Helmets and car seats will be provided to children while supplies last. On scene will be FREE delicious BBQ, tasty treats, music, art, a bounce house and guest appearances from favorite mascots throughout the afternoon. Please join us!
