For those children without a medical home, who are uninsured or who have Medi-Cal, Nevada County Public Health will be holding a Back to School Immunization Clinic on August 13th 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Grass Valley Veteran's Hall in Grass Valley; and on August 29th 9:30 am to 11:30 am and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Joseph Center in Truckee. For over 15 years Public Health has hosted clinics during the summer months to support our children with their immunizations as they enter pre-school, K-12 grades and college.
In accordance with the Vaccines for Children program, eligible children must be 18 years old or younger, have no health insurance OR be Medi-Cal eligible, OR are Native American/Alaskan Native. For those children 18 and younger who do not meet these criteria, a limited supply of vaccine will be available for purchase. Prices vary per vaccine.
