The Doris Foley Library for Historical Research welcomes the public to attend an Open House with the Native Daughters of the Golden West on Wednesday, December 18th, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Members of Grass Valley's Manzanita Parlor No. 29 will be on hand to talk about the group's contributions to historical preservation and the Native Daughters of the Golden West yearbooks, part of the Foley's permanent collection of reference materials pertaining to local history and genealogy, will be available for browsing. Free light refreshments, including hot cocoa and tea, will be available.
The Doris Foley Library, part of the Nevada County Community Library system, is located at 211 North Pine Street in downtown Nevada City, across from the courthouse, just a block away from the Victorian Christmas festivities.
