Once the Christmas holiday is over, recycle your Christmas tree for free at several locations in Western Nevada County. Trees can be disposed of in your Waste Management green waste collection service by cutting the tree into three foot sections and placing them in the green waste cart, or bring your tree to one of the five Western Nevada County locations to recycle them. Please remember, trees must be free of ornaments, lights or metal stands and un-flocked. Take advantage of free Christmas tree recycling and help keep Nevada County litter free.
Due to the New Year’s Day holiday, Waste Management of Nevada County will not operate any collections on January 1st. If your collection day falls on or after either of these holidays, it will be delayed one day.
Waste Management will deliver bins to these locations for holiday tree removal. All Nevada County, Grass Valley and Nevada City residents can bring holiday trees to the following locations on the dates indicated for free disposal.
