[ARCHIVED] New Service Request Tool Launches

Beginning this week, Nevada County will launch a new, simpler online service request tool, which will function like the former “Ask Nevada County App.” This new system will continue to place Nevada County Government services in the palm of your hands. This new web-based tool allows users to submit service concerns online road maintenance to environmental health concerns.

“After three years of successful citizen engagement, the current software will no longer be supported. After reviewing other software systems and discussing likes and dislikes with neighboring counties, the new comprehensive system brings the same functionality for citizens and better work tracking capabilities for the entire team,” said Trisha Tillotson, Director of Public Works.

In its early stages, “Ask Nevada County”, focused on reporting Public Work concerns related to potholes and road work. Since then, many County departments adopted the tool for service requests and feedback. The new software continues the County’s commitment to citizen participation and community improvement.

Citizens will be able to submit service requests on a wide variety of topics and concerns that include drainage, potholes and pavement maintenance, roadside brush and tree concerns, dirt road issues, dead animals, and illegal dumping. Users will also be able to submit requests and/or comments to County departments including: Road Maintenance, Environmental Health, Solid Waste, Wastewater, Agriculture, Health and Human Services, Elections, Code Enforcement, Cannabis Compliance, and Transit.

Submit your online service requests at www.mynevadacounty.com and clicking on “Service Requests” or typing www.mynevadacounty.com/servicerequest into your website browser.  Please bookmark or save this link to make future requests. It is important to note that the current “Ask Nevada County App” will be disabled.

We look forward to you joining us in keeping Nevada County clean, healthy, and safe.
