Around the globe, Earth day will be celebrated on April 22nd helping to remind us of the importance that the Earth’s health plays in our everyday lives. This year, Nevada County has multiple opportunities to learn and participate in the celebration of Earth Day. Celebrate Earth Day through learning with our Nevada County Library, recycling with our Solid Waste program and Waste Management, or creating defensible space and cleaning up your property to prepare for our Office of Emergency Services Green Waste events.
