Finally, I want to let you know about two subcommittees I serve on alongside District 5 Supervisor Hardy Bullock: the Historical Landmarks Commission Ad Hoc Subcommittee, and the Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Subcommittee. The first is examining how to support County efforts to acknowledge and preserve this area’s history. And the second is collaborating with all three Nevada County cities/townships to develop a board resolution with our vision and actions to address local challenges with racial justice and equity. Both Subcommittees are tackling important issues that speak to the fabric of our community.
