October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and WE'RE WINNING THE FIGHT! Through the sales of collectible uniform patches the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, along with other public safety
agencies world-wide are helping to bring an end to breast cancer through the PINK PATCH PROJECT. The Pink Patch Project is an innovative public awareness campaign designed to bring attention to the fight against breast cancer and to support breast cancer research organizations in combating this devastating disease.
Are you ready to support the 2021 Pink Patch Program? This year we have a beautiful, handmade wood flag that is being raffled off! Tickets are available at the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office for a suggested donation of $5 each or 5 tickets for $20. Thank you to Correctional Officer Mike Schnitzius for designing, creating, and donating this flag to benefit the pink patch program. We also have the brand new 2021 challenge coins as well as our ever-popular pink patches. Stop by the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office today to pick up your pink patch swag and help support the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Foundation and local cancer treatment programs.
