Nevada County released the original Notice of Availability on January 3rd and extended it on February 7, for Draft EIR for the Idaho-Maryland Mine project. See press release. All public comments on the Draft EIR must be submitted via email to Idaho.MMEIR@co.nevada.ca.us or hardcopy to the Nevada County Planning Department Attn: Matt Kelley by 5 pm on April 4th. This was extended following the winter storms to allow the public a total of 91 days to submit comments.
A Special Public Meeting before the Planning Commission will be held on March 24, 2022, beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the Board of Supervisors Chambers, located at 950 Maidu Avenue, First Floor, Nevada City, CA 95959 to receive comments from public agencies and the public on the adequacy of the Draft EIR.
