NEVADA CITY, CA-July 8, 2022- Pursuant to California Elections Code Sections 15628 and 15625, an officer appointed by the Nevada County Board of Supervisors will be conducting a recount of the ballots cast in the June 7, 2022 Statewide Direct Primary Election for the office of Nevada County Clerk-Recorder at the request of Randy Economy on behalf of candidate Jason Tedder.
The recount process will begin at the Rood Center, 950 Maidu Avenue, Nevada City in the Providence Mine Room, Suite 270 on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 immediately after the Nevada County Board of Supervisors appoints an officer to supervise the recount board and thereafter every day until completed or terminated.
The recount process will begin at 9:00 A.M. and end at 4:00 P.M. on a daily basis, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted until completed or terminated.
The Nevada County Clerk-Recorder election recount is being conducted pursuant to California Elections Code Sections 15629 and 15630, which requires that the recount process be conducted publicly.
Pursuant to the request for recount and ballot inspection, this recount will be conducted manually as detailed in California Election Code 15627.
