The library staff has put together an excellent summer learning program that will keep you and your family thinking and engaging in fun new experiences for the next few months. All events below are taking place at the Madelyn Helling branch’s outdoor amphitheater (unless otherwise noted):
Musical Mondays with InConcert Sierra – August 1 - In collaboration with InConcert Sierra, the library will be hosting local musicians in the outdoor amphitheater for all ages. Limited seating and benches are available - bring lawn chairs or blankets to help enjoy this program.
Ukelele for the People! – July 29 - Join us for our beginning ukulele class/jam session. Participants are encouraged to bring their own ukulele. Ten loaner ukuleles will be available, first come first served. Learning to play an instrument is proven by scientists to promote health and well-being. Ukulele players of all levels are encouraged to partake in this fun and engaging program.
Free lunches for kids 0-18, every weekday at noon - at the Madelyn Helling and Penn Valley libraries from June 13 – July 29.
