Nevada County Public Health’s free and confidential HIV and Hep C Testing Clinic is excited to once again be a beneficiary of the annual NorCal AIDS Cycle in 2023. The mission of the NorCal AIDS Cycle is to support organizations throughout Northern California, with an emphasis on the Greater Sacramento Valley, that are working to end the HIV/AIDS pandemic and care for those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Those interested in participating in the annual cycling event held May 20th through 21st can visit the NorCal AIDS Cycle website to learn more.
"NorCal AIDS Cycle's generosity allows for the critical funding of our HIV and Hep C testing clinic, supporting our efforts to end the HIV epidemic and to connect people living with HIV or Hep C to essential case-management services and resources as well as increasing access to care and testing as a means to reduce new HIV infections," said Jen Rhi Winders, a contractor with the Public Health department. "The bike race is a community driven event that is still looking for riders, new and experienced, to participate. It takes a village to pull this off, and we'd love to see some county folks support the efforts and ride!"
Nevada County Public Health offers free and confidential walk-in HIV and Hepatitis C testing every 2nd and 4th Tuesday from 12:00 to 3:00 pm. For additional information about testing, call or text 530-388-6364.
Thank you to NorCal AIDS Cycle for their continued support!
