Find Your Voice! at the Nevada County Fair

Nevada County Library will be at the Nevada County Fair Wednesday through Saturday from 1 - 5 pm in the Northern Mines Building. Stop by and say hello, sign up for a library card, turn in your Summer Learning reading logs, and make a pool noodle roller coaster! Hear from library staff about all of the great library resources, programming and events coming up this fall.

Our voices have power. We use our voices to share stories, express ourselves, and spark change. Our voices include not only the sounds we make, but the words we write, the art we create, the movements we perform, and the actions we take each day to impact our world. With this year’s Summer Learning theme, "Find Your Voice!", the library encourages participants to embrace reading and find inspiration for self-expression.  It’s not too late to participate in Nevada County Library’s “Find Your Voice!” Summer Learning program. Stop by your local library to pick up a reading log or download the Beanstack app to participate digitally. This year’s program challenges kids and teens to read 15 minutes a day and complete activities that encourage creativity. Write a poem or a song, create your own dance move, build something, or write a letter to a local official as part of this year’s Summer Learning challenge.
