The Nevada County Library is serving up free lunches for kids 18 years and younger at four local branches, beginning on Monday, June 12th at Penn Valley and Bear River Library locations and June 19th at Grass Valley and Madelyn Helling locations. Lunch will be served on a first come, first served basis Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm through August 11th. Kids don't need to sign-up, show identification, or have a library card to have a free lunch.
The library offers these healthy meals in partnership with the Food Bank of Nevada County through the USDA Summer Food Service Program and the Grass Valley School District.
