The hard road closure on Old 40 remains; staff is assessing precarious rocks, which may result in subsequent rock fall on the roadway.
Today, staff opened the gates and added concrete guardrails to close off the affected area (see photos); 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒓𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒔𝒂𝒇𝒆𝒕𝒚. This area is closed to all activities such as hiking, walking, biking, rollerblading, climbing, etc, or generally crossing into this road closure.
