Tired of the digital grind? Take a break and immerse yourself in the joys of Screen-Free Week, happening May 6-12! The library, in collaboration with Public Health and CalFresh, invites you to embark on an unforgettable journey of off-screen adventures and rediscover the magic of real-life connections.
What is Screen-Free Week? It's an annual national event aimed at promoting a healthy balance between on-screen and off-screen activities. In today's digital age, where screens dominate much of our time, this week encourages people to step away from screens and explore alternative forms of entertainment and connection. It's a chance to rediscover the joys of face-to-face interactions, outdoor activities, and creative pursuits, fostering a healthier relationship with technology.
And that's not all! In addition to our usual weekly lineup, we're thrilled to offer an array of grab-and-go screen-free crafts. From inspiring journals to soothing meditative exercises, tantalizing word searches, and engaging bingo cards, there's something to ignite the spark of creativity in everyone!
