The Declaration of Candidacy period for the November 5, 2024 General Election starts on July 15 and continues through August 9. Candidates for City of Grass Valley City Council and Town of Truckee Town Council must file with the City/Town Clerk. Candidates running for special and school district offices may file at the Nevada County Elections Office, 950 Maidu Ave Ste. 210 during regular business hours, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm. Candidates for special and school districts in the Truckee area have the option to file at Town Hall--please contact the Town Clerk for business hours.
