Nevada County Library Launches Library Card Design Contest: Libraries are for Everyone.
The Nevada County Library is thrilled to announce its Library Card Design Contest, inviting community members of all ages to showcase their creativity and contribute to the design of our new library cards. This initiative aims Our goal is to celebrate local talent, promote literacy, and foster a sense of community pride. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Contest Overview
The Library Card Design Contest is open to county residents of all ages and encourages participants to submit their original designs that reflect the theme: Libraries are for Everyone. Whether you're a budding artist, a graphic design enthusiast, or someone with a creative vision, this is your chance to leave a mark on your public library and celebrate the spirit and diversity of our vibrant community. Library staff will also be participating, and we will be asking you, our patrons, to select a winning design!
Submission Details
Eligibility: Open to all Nevada County residents.
Submission Deadline: September 30, 2024
Categories: Youth (under 10); Teen (11-17), Adult (18 and over), and Library Staff.
Design Specifications: Designs must be original, previously unpublished, and free of copyright restrictions. Keep in mind the design will be reduced to fit a 3" x 2" library card.
How to Enter: View the entry form and submit your design online or pick up an entry form at any Nevada County Library location. Submit your designs by September 30th in person, online or by mail.
Prizes and Recognition
5 community winners will be selected by a panel of library staff. One staff winner will be selected by the community online and in-person. All winners will be announced October 15th and featured on our new library cards.
