NEVADA City, California - Exciting news for the literary community! The highly anticipated Local Author Showcase is officially returning to the Madelyn Helling Library, offering weekend-goers the perfect opportunity to discover and connect with local authors.
This year, the library is extending an open call to all local authors interested in promoting and selling their books in the library! For one day, the library will transform into a book fair, where local authors can engage with the public, share their stories, host book readings, and reach a broader audience.

How to Participate
Interested authors are encouraged to sign up by October 12th. The application can be accessed via the Local Author Showcase Application on the Nevada County website at nevadacountyca.gov/localauthorshowcase. Printed sign-up sheets will also be available at all Nevada County Library branches.
Eligibility
To participate, authors must have a bound and published book. This includes works published through Amazon Direct, Ingram Spark, and other print-on-demand services. Handwritten manuscripts, zines, and other non-bound works are not eligible for this event.
The Local Author Showcase offers a fantastic opportunity for local writers to promote their work, engage with the community, and connect with fellow authors.
