Beginning Monday, Nov. 25, Nevada County Elections will conduct a manual tally of 1% of precincts casting ballots in the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election. The results will be compared with the machine count to ensure accuracy.
The random selection of precincts is at 9 a.m. at the Elections Office, 950 Maidu Ave., Nevada City, and will be followed by the manual tally. The process is open to the public and will continue daily until it is completed.
As of Friday, Nov. 15, an estimated 18,622 ballots were left to count. Updated results are posted Tuesday and Friday afternoons. To see results, visit www.NevadaCountyCa.gov/November5Election. The state requires all counties to certify election results by Dec. 3.
