Registrar of Voters Natalie Adona today certified the official results of the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election for Nevada County.
Total voter turnout for the election was 82%, the sixth highest turnout in the state. Of voters that cast a ballot, roughly 90% cast a vote-by-mail ballot and 10% cast an in-person ballot at one of nine in-person voting locations throughout the county.
Prior to certification, a manual tally of 1% of randomly selected precincts was conducted and the results were compared with the machine count. The audit confirmed the accuracy of the election outcome.
“I want to thank our election workers, staff and community for their participation this election,” Adona said. “Elections are the cornerstone of our democracy, and despite all obstacles thrown our way we are proud to have upheld the highest standards in election administration.”
By law, all counties are required to certify no sooner than Dec. 3, 2024 for this election. To see the Nevada County official results of the Nov. 5, 2024 General Election, please visit www.nevadacountyca.gov/November5Election.
