Nevada County's Geographic Information System (GIS) Division announces the release of an enhanced version of its popular web mapping application, My Neighborhood 2.0. The update introduces improvements in performance for a smoother and faster user experience. Along with a modern interface, the app now boasts several exciting new features to better serve the community, including the addition of high-resolution aerial imagery from 2018, 2020, 2022, and 2024.
My Neighborhood 2.0 allows you to search for parcels and addresses as before, while also providing access to an extensive library of authoritative county GIS data, from parcel lines to zoning information. The app empowers residents and businesses to explore and utilize county resources in new ways, like the new Export to GeoJSON feature, allowing you to save parcel selections to your computer and share them with others to load into My Neighborhood 2.0 or other GIS software.
The old version of My Neighborhood will be retired at the end of May, so users are encouraged to start exploring the new My Neighborhood 2.0 today to experience the benefits of the latest in Web GIS technology. More information and a Help guide can be found on the County GIS website.
