This event was so popular, we're doing it again!
Nevada County residents who bring a used motor oil filter June 21 to O’Reilly Auto Parts will get a free $15 voucher to purchase a new filter. Drop off and purchase must be on the same visit.
This event is to encourage oil filter recycling. Residents can bring up to two used oil filters for a $15 voucher, while supplies last.
A limited supply of oil change kits will also be given away to Nevada County residents. The kits include a funnel, oil pan and jug. The kits are limited to one per household.
The Oil Filter Exchange Event will take place from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at O’Reilly Auto Parts (by Raley’s), 742 Freeman Lane, Grass Valley.
Commercial customers and non-Nevada County residents will not be able to participate in the event.
The program is funded by CalRecycle.
