Nevada County Connects is offering free transit for the holidays, including the “12 Days of Holiday Cheer” Free Fare Event and free shuttle services to Cornish Christmas and Victorian Christmas, in partnership with the Grass Valley and Nevada City Chambers of Commerce.
As a special holiday gift to all our riders, Nevada County Connects will provide free fares on all routes and on Nevada County Now (Americans with Disabilities Act) paratransit services starting Dec. 17 through Dec. 31. Nevada County Connects will operate regular schedules and times on all routes.
Cornish Christmas Free Shuttle
- Will run on Fridays, Dec. 5, 12, and 19, from 6-8 p.m.
- Pick-ups at Pine Creek Shopping Center, McKnight Shopping Center, and the Broad Street Bridge, ending at Tinloy Transit Center in downtown Grass Valley.
Victorian Christmas Free Shuttle
- Will run on Wednesdays, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17, from 5-9 p.m.
- Pick-ups at Tinloy Transit Center in downtown Grass Valley and the Broad Street Bridge.
Nevada County Connects will not operate service on Dec. 25 (Christmas Day) or Jan. 1 (New Year's Day).
County of Nevada Transit Services has received a Low Carbon Transit Operations Program (LCTOP) air quality grant that provides public transit funding assistance for projects that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve mobility.
