Each year Nevada County honors employees for their five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five or thirty years of service to the County. At Tuesday's January 22nd Board of Supervisors meeting, Human Resources Director Steve Rose presented ninety two employee service awards.
"The Nevada County Employee Service Awards is a special time each year where we recognize the achievements and accomplishments of our employee's many years of dedicated service," said Steve Rose. "This year we have a total of 92 employees we are recognizing with various service lengths and we have 3 employees who have over 30 years of service which is a significant milestone in their career. "
Of the ninety two County Employee's honored today, three were recognized for their thirty years of service to Nevada County: Linda Sager from the Auditor-Controller's Office, Grant Eisen from Environmental Health, and Kathleen Anderson from the Sheriff's Office – Truckee Station.
"I have lived and been a resident of Truckee since 1981. I started with the District Attorney's Office in Truckee, worked as an Evidence Technician with the Sheriff's Office for a time in Nevada City, and now as a Correctional Officer with the Sheriff's Office again in Truckee," described Kathleen Anderson of the Sheriff's Office. "The original plan was to retire after 25 years, but here I am 31 years later! Do what you enjoy and the time will fly by!"
