Nevada County Behavioral Health and Turning Point Community Programs are hosting a training on Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT), also known as “Laura’s Law,” virtually on August 11th at noon. Through a civil court process, Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) provides court-ordered mental health services to adults with a severe mental illness.
This training is specifically geared towards the general community and family members and will cover an overview of AOT, who is eligible, the referral process, and the court process.
If you have any questions or require special accommodations, please reach out to Priya Kannall at Priya.Kannall@co.nevada.ca.us. This training will also be recorded and posted on the county website.
