Red Flag Warning Tuesday Afternoon Through Wednesday Due to Breezy Winds and Low Humidity

Red Flag Warning 8.17.2021

Locally breezy south to southwest winds expected Tuesday afternoon, especially along the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada. Then winds will shift to the north to northeast and increase Tuesday evening across much of the Sacramento Valley, surrounding terrain, and western slopes of the Sierra Nevada and will continue through Wednesday. These winds, combined with low humidity and extremely dry fuels, will lead to critical fire weather conditions.
