The Nevada County Behavioral Health Department is inviting all stakeholders to review and comment on Nevada County's Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) Annual Plan Update for fiscal year 2022/2023 and Annual Progress Report for fiscal year 20/21. The Public Comment Period will last for a period of 30 days from April 13, 2022 to May 13, 2022. The Mental Health Services Act, also known as Prop 63, is funded by a 1% tax on personal income over $1 million per year, and is designed to expand and transform California’s county mental health systems.
Notable changes within the MHSA Annual Plan Update for FY 22/23 include:
- Funding increases for existing contracts and programs
- Enhanced support for the Homeless Outreach and Medical Engagement (HOME) Team
- Investment in replacement of the current Electronic Health Record (EHR)
