On Thursday, March 20, the Nevada County Library will present a free screening of the 2018 film adaptation of Annihilation at the Nevada Theatre in Nevada City. Annihilation was directed by award-winner Alex Garland and stars Natalie Portman and Oscar Issac. This event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The movie is recommended for those 17 or older.
Annihilation as a film, is described by Garland as being a "memory of the book." So, while characters, settings, and plot may be similar, there's no spoilers for the book here! Come check this film out and don't forget to see Jeff VanderMeer in person on April 26th!
