Take the Nevada County All Veterans Survey by March 11thNevada County Veterans Services Office hosts 2nd annual online survey at: www.surveymonkey.com/r/VSO2022Survey
Nevada County's Veterans Services Office (VSO) has launched its second annual online "All Veterans Survey." The survey will help shape the VSO’s strategic plan for serving our veteran community. Nearly 3,000 veterans responded to last year's survey, which informed the 21/22 VSO Strategic Plan.
"Last year's survey results led to significant changes, improvements, and better diversity on how we offer our services to our veterans, including an online appointment system and improved outreach," said Veterans Services Officer David West. "It also led to a goal of reducing veterans homelessness in our county to functional zero, based on the community's overwhelming response to addressing this complicated issue."

The $62.5 million Omega Curves project aims to improve safety and reduce collisions on SR-20 by realigning curves on two non-contiguous segments near White Cloud and Lowell Hill, widening shoulders, improving the highway’s sight distance and adding designated left turn lanes near Conservation Road and Washington Road. In addition, three turnouts will be added where slow-moving vehicles can permit motorists to safely pass, while also serving as traffic enforcement locations for the California Highway Patrol.
