The Nevada County is searching for a County Librarian. Reporting to the Information and General Services Director, the County Librarian is a department head with overall responsibility for the activities of the Library Services Department. The incumbent directs the County's central and branch libraries, prepares and controls the budget for County libraries, and provides expert professional assistance to the Board of Supervisors and County management staff. Candidates will need an ability to look at libraries beyond the traditional model. The ideal candidate will seek to actively engage the community and will envision, create and promote each branch as a vital piece of the community.
