Environmental Health is gathering feedback from residents to include in a Drought Resiliency Plan. Residents may offer feedback by either attending the town hall or completing a survey at www.NevadaCountyCa.gov/DRPSurvey. Nevada County has 20,000 residential wells.
“We’re asking well owners to share how they’re preparing for drought so we can better understand the challenges they face,” said Environmental Health Director Amy Irani. “Their feedback will help shape our Drought Resiliency Plan and could position us to apply for funding opportunities if they become available. Our goal is to be proactive and ready to respond if conditions worsen.”
