The Nevada County Adult Services department organized Operation Santa again this holiday season, bringing gifts, firewood, and meals to older and disabled adults in our community. Each gift was chosen based on requests from participants, helping ensure that the items were both useful and meaningful.
This year, the program reached about 100 community members, offering comfort and connection during the holidays. For many older adults, the holidays can be a lonely time but together, we can change that. Through simple acts of kindness, thoughtful gifts and moments of human connection we’re helping ensure that our isolated seniors feel remembered, valued, and celebrated.
