The Nevada County Animal Shelter, in partnership with Sammie’s Friends, is hosting an adoption special throughout January. All dogs age 5 and older can be adopted for $5, reduced from the standard $100 fee.

To meet a dog, call 530-471-5041 to schedule a meet-and-greet or fill out the adoption questionnaire to get the process started.
Kennel drop-in hours are Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Appointments are preferred.
Microchip, rabies vaccination, and county license, when applicable, are not included.
