The Nevada County Community Library system consists of six library branches and two service locations. Five of the branches have circulating collections and one houses the non-circulating historical reference collection. The Madelyn Helling Library is the main branch library housing administrative services.
The Grass Valley Library - Royce Branch is a wonderfully historic Carnegie library listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Right in the heart of downtown Grass Valley, this library is full to the brim with items for every whim and need.
Patrons may return Nevada County Community Library items to book drops located at San Juan Ridge Community Library and Chicago Park Elementary School. - Service locations are not currently available to accept returns for Nevada County Community Library due to countywide library closures.
Nevada County Law Library
The Nevada County Law Library is the primary depository of legal reference materials for the County of Nevada. It provides open access of these resources to all members of the community. The Law Library is not affiliated with the Nevada County Libraries. Their phone number is 530-362-5329.
