The Nevada County Planning Department processes various land use projects that require changes (amendments) to the General Plan and/or the zoning map (rezones). These projects can be complex and involve review periods and public hearings before the Zoning Administrator, Planning Commission, and finally the Board of Supervisors, which has the final approval authority.
