June 2016 Voting Materials Delivery Information

Voter Information Pamphlets

Voter Information Pamphlets, which include an official sample ballot, should reach voters by May 13, 2016. View your Voter Information Pamphlet online.

Due to a printer error, voters’ political party preference was not printed on some of the Nevada County Voter Information Pamphlets that voters will be receiving in the mail the week of May 9, 2016. Our printer gave us two options:
  • Mail the Voter Information Pamphlets on Friday, May 6, 2016, as they are without the voter’s political party preference printed on the back cover.
  • Correct all of the Voter Information Pamphlets and have them put in the mail May 13, 2016, not arriving to the voters until the week of May 16, 2016.
After thoughtful deliberation, we decided that the first option was the best for our voters. We want to make sure voters receive their Voter Information Pamphlets before receiving their vote-by-mail ballots. Voters can check their political party preference using our tool on our website.

Vote-by-Mail Ballots

If you are a vote-by-mail voter or live in a mail ballot precinct you will receive your ballot in the mail the week of May 16, 2016.

Change of Party or Address

If you have changed your political party preference or address since April 15, 2016, we will issue you a second ballot and void your first ballot. Your valid ballot will reflect your political party preference and current address. You can check your political party preference online.
