Grand Jury Reports & Responses

Each year, the Nevada County Grand Jury studies the different government agencies operating within our County, and issues reports on their performance or issues of concern. The Grand Jury can require some of these agencies to respond to that report within a specified period of time. When the Board of Supervisors is required to respond to Findings and Recommendations in a Grand Jury report, the current reports and responses will be made available on this site as they are released.

Civil Grand Jury

The Civil Grand Jury is selected by the Superior Court. For more information on the Grand Jury, visit the Nevada County Superior Court Grand Jury Website. The Grand Jury reports can be accessed at the Reports page of the Nevada County Courts Website.

These Grand Jury Report Responses have been approved by the Board of Supervisors and submitted to the Presiding Judge of the Superior Court and the Grand Jury. To browse all the available Board of Supervisors Responses to the Grand Jury Reports, please visit our Grand Jury Response folder.

Report responses from other agencies and elected officials are posted on this site if we are requested to do so by them.
