NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Nevada County Health and Human Services Agency will conduct a public hearing on Monday, December 29, 2025, at 1:00 pm, or as soon thereafter as the matter will be heard, in the Coyote Conference Room, located at 950 Maidu Ave, Nevada City, California. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the in-person hearing to solicit public input on the achievements and the financial report of the following items:
Close out of the 2021 CDBG-HA-00002 grant program. The Health and Human Services Agency, on behalf of the County of Nevada, applied to the State of California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), in response to the 2021 Community Development Block Grant Program Notice of Available Funding (NOFA), to request a funding allocation for a final amount of $350,000. The award provided funding for the renovation of health and safety issues or Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations in homes owned by low-income seniors and individuals with disabilities. The County has expended all the activity and administrative funds for this grant, and no funds will be returned to the state.
The purpose of this public hearing is to give community members an opportunity to evaluate the performance of this project. If you are unable to attend the meeting, written comments on any aspect of the above referenced project are invited and should be addressed to: Angela Masker, Nevada County Health and Human Services Agency, Housing and Community Services Department, 950 Maidu Ave, Nevada City, CA 95959, or to the following email address angela.masker@nevadacountyca.gov . After the public hearing, the County will proceed with the submission of the closeout documents and Annual Grantee Performance Report. A public information file, including an Annual Performance Report and other relevant documents, is available for review between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, in the Health and Human Services Agency located at 950 Maidu Ave, Nevada City, CA 95959.
