In collaboration with Get Connected California! Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), Nevada County will be hosting an enrollment event on August 27th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Nevada County Social Services office located at 950 Maidu Ave, Nevada City.
The Affordable Connectivity Program provides a monthly discount on internet service of up to $30 per eligible household. This means that internet service can be free when used with special high-speed internet plans offered by many providers! The program also allows for a one-time discount of $100 towards the purchase of a device (laptop, desktop or tablet).
Residents can also apply online at the Federal Communications Commission website.
