Salud-Ambriz's Mission

As Nevada County Clerk-Recorder/Registrar of Voters, my mission is grounded in trust, transparency, and service to the public. The Clerk-Recorder’s Office serves as the official steward of vital records and public documents that protect individual rights, preserve history, and ensure accountability in government.

Salud-Ambriz's Background

Armando Salud-Ambriz brings more than 16 years of public service experience to Nevada County. His career began at the California Secretary of State’s Office in 2009, followed by leadership roles in the Sacramento County and Yolo County Elections Offices, where he advanced to Deputy of Elections and oversaw major operational, voter education, and language access initiatives.

A proud first-generation professional and United States citizen since 2015, Armando was born in San Miguel Tecacho, Michoacán, Mexico, and raised in Colusa County, California. Raised in a family of orchard laborers, he developed a strong appreciation for hard work, public service, and community engagement.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from California State University, Sacramento, and a Master of Public Administration from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he was selected as class speaker for the Centennial Class of 2024.

Armando is a Registered Elections Official (REO), a Certified Elections/Registration Administrator (CERA), and a Credentialed California County Senior Executive. He has served on numerous national and state committees focused on election administration, voter access, and civic engagement, and has received multiple recognitions for leadership and service.
