The Countywide Oversight Board was established effective July 1, 2018, in accordance with the Health and Safety Code (HSC) §34179(j). The board is responsible for providing direction and oversight to the Successor Agencies as they wind-down the affairs of their former redevelopment agencies. There are two (2) Successor Agencies in Nevada County:
- Town of Truckee
- City of Grass Valley
Oversight Board Regular Meetings
The Board will hold its annual meeting in January each year in the Nevada County Board of Supervisors Chamber, 950 Maidu Avenue, 1st Floor, Nevada City.

Members
The Oversight Board consists of 7 members appointed by:
- County Board of Supervisors (2 members, one must be a member of the public)
- City Selection Committee (1 member)
- Independent Special District Selection Committee (vacant)
- Chancellor of the California Community Colleges (1 member)
- County Superintendent of Schools (1 member)
- The recognized employee organization representing the largest number of successor agency employees in Nevada County (1 member)
Board members serve without compensation or reimbursement for expenses.
