JJDPC Overview
Authorized pursuant to Section 225 et. seq. of the California Welfare and Institutions Code. In Nevada County the Board of Supervisors combined the Juvenile Justice Commission with the Delinquency Prevention Commission. It is the duty of a juvenile justice commission to inquire into the administration of the juvenile court law in the county or region in which the commission serves. The commission also serves to coordinate on a countywide basis the work of community agencies engaged in activities designed to prevent juvenile and adult delinquency.
