In Home Supportive Services

The In Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program provides assistance to eligible aged, blind, and disabled individuals who are unable to remain safely in their own homes without assistance. For more information, visit the IHSS page. 

Children's Mental Health

Nevada County Behavioral Health treats children who have a serious mental illness, could be using drugs or alcohol, children involved with the Courts, Probation, or Child Welfare Services. Click here for more information. 

Adult Mental Health

Nevada County Behavioral Health provides a wide variety of services for Medi-Cal recipients and those with severe mental illness, such as outpatient services, medication services, psychotherapy, residential services, wellness and recovery, care management, long term institutional care, and vocational services. Substance Use Services and Treatment

Nevada County Behavioral Health offers substance use services and treatment such as withdrawal management, residential, outpatient, and perinatal treatment, transitional living, and prevention services. Click here for more information.

Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)

Truckee Public Health Services and Teen Clinic

Truckee Public Health offers family planning services for adults and teens, immunizations, maternal, child, and adolescent services, tobacco use prevention, and Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) for low cost, no cost, or sliding scale. Public Health Services

Nevada County Public Health offers a variety of healthcare services and health and wellness services, such as the Senior Outreach Nursing Program, Immunizations and Vaccines, TB testing, HIV and Hepatitis C testing, HIV/AIDS Services, Naloxone distribution, lead poisoning prevention, Maternal, Child, and Adolescent Health (MCAH) program, tobacco use prevention, alcohol and drug use prevention, and suicide prevention. Nevada County Public Health also offers specific programs for families and children, such as  California Children's Services and the Child Health and Disability Program (CHDP).
