In rural Nevada County, there are many possibilities for sharing the bounty of local farms and ranches with the community and tourists. This page offers some background and information on how to proceed to ensure the health and safety of our community.

Farmers Markets take place throughout Nevada County. The purpose of this application is to assist Nevada County’s Certified Farmers Market event organizers to plan a safe and sanitary market that meets all California Health and Safety Code requirements. Each Certified Farmers Market (CFM) must obtain its own permit to operate legally within Nevada County.

Farm Stands occur on many farms throughout Nevada County. The purpose of this application is to assist Nevada County’s Farm Stands to operate a safe and sanitary stand that meets all California Health and Safety Code requirements. Each Farm Stand must obtain its own permit to operate legally within Nevada County.

Ag Homestays and B&B may serve meals, light foods, or snacks to 20 registered guests at any time. Please read the Bed & Breakfast / Agricultural Homestay Food Facilities Guidelines for more information and the full guidelines.
