- Volunteer at the Library
Library volunteers do a variety of jobs that help keep the library running smoothly! Many volunteers assist with shelving in the adult, teen and children's areas. Volunteers with particular skillsets may assist in the Collaborative Technology Center with one-on-one tech help for our patrons or presenting workshops on particular topics. Teen volunteers may help with programming or outreach activities. We offer a variety of options to volunteer with Nevada County Library.
Please feel free to visit your local library and discuss the possibilities with the volunteer coordinator or simply fill out an application in the form below. Paper forms are available at any library location.
Please note, all volunteers over the age of 18 are required to be fingerprinted prior to volunteering at a Nevada County Library. The County will cover the cost of fingerprinting and therefore we ask for at least a six month commitment.
The library branch volunteer coordinator will contact you to schedule an interview after they receive an application. Once the application is approved the applicant will be contacted to schedule fingerprinting.
If you are interested in volunteering for the Doris Foley Library for Historical Research please contact the branch directly at 530-265-4606.
